ABOUT KWC2026
Convened by the Women Alliance for Development (WAD) the Kenya Women’s Conference 2026 is the national gathering of the Kenya Women Empowerment Project — a holistic, 11-pillar initiative aligned with AUDA-NEPAD’s mandate, the AU Gender Strategy (2018–2028) and Agenda 2063
It brings together women leaders, entrepreneurs, innovators, and changemakers from across Kenya to advance a shared agenda: economic empowerment, political representation, and protection of women’s rights. It convenes voices from across all 47 counties to share strategies, build networks, and drive lasting change for women’s economic and political power in Kenya.

Working sessions across entrepreneurship, political leadership, STEM, health, climate and protection — a mutually reinforcing system, not parallel projects.
Meet women leaders from all 47 counties, private-sector partners, investors and civil society — building linkages from grassroots to national level.
Witness the adoption of the Nairobi Declaration and the endorsement of a National Women’s Empowerment Framework for Kenya and the continent.
THE 11 PILLARS
Four Core pillars are fully resourced from launch; seven Aspirational pillars scale up as co-funding is secured. All 11 are introduced at the national convenings and piloted through the County Summits.
